South East Writers Inc (17th Public Meeting) Labrador Community and Youth Centre 10th August 2019 10:00am, 57 Billington Street, Labrador, QLD 4215 - $10.00
Guest Speaker: Becky PAROZ
One of YMag’s Top Ten Women to watch and construction Project Manager of 30 years, Becky Paroz is also an experienced coach, a sought after mentor and an award winning published author. She has been a Technical writer, as well as Engineer and Project manager, in industry for most of her career. In 2014 she was approached by a US publishing group to contribute to what amounted to over 12 anthologies, and separately, a global women’s empowerment group to contribute articles to their digital magazine.
Once having got the bug, she has 3 more non-fictions planned and is currently working on her fiction series, where she plans to unleash murder and mayhem upon the construction world, thereby working out her therapy cheaply and hopefully making a buck.
She was also diagnosed with a chronic illness at 18 about which she received bad news for her future. Ignoring that, Becky has gone on to win awards, take names, and make one for herself. Her most recent achievements are being the cover girl for YMag’s Second Print anniversary and raise two monsters, disguised as Rhodesian Ridgebacks, while trying to live her other three lives.
She believes the "pen is mightier than the sword", except on a construction site, where can both come in handy.
